Back-end walkthrough

Fourteen stops through the admin, in the order a staffer uses them to put a new unit on the lot. Recorded on Gresham RV Sales' admin with test records.

1. Staff sign-in

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Open your site's admin address and enter your email. A code arrives in your inbox; enter it and you are in. No password to remember.

What the buyer sees
Nothing changes for buyers. The admin is separate from the public site.

2. Dashboard

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
The first screen lists every unit with its status, price and photo count. Sort by newest or by price, and use the buttons on each row to edit, mark Sale pending or open the public page.

What the buyer sees
This is where staff check what is live before a buyer walks in.

3. New unit details

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Tap New unit, then enter year, make, model, price and the specs you know. Leave blanks for what you do not know; the page shows "Ask" for those.

What the buyer sees
The public page shows the specs as tiles above the description.

4. Description

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Tap Generate and a draft appears from your specs and notes. Edit any sentence, or discard it and write your own.

What the buyer sees
The description is what buyers read after the price.

5. Features

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Tick the features the unit has from a checklist grouped by area, and add anything unusual as a custom item.

What the buyer sees
Features show as a grid on the public page and help the unit match searches.

6. Photos

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Upload from the phone or the computer. Drag to reorder, drag one onto the featured slot to make it the lead photo, and delete with a tap.

What the buyer sees
The featured photo is the one on the card and the hero of the unit page.

7. Save and publish

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Save keeps it as a draft. Publish puts it on the site and, within fifteen minutes, on DealerSites.

What the buyer sees
The unit page, the site search and the sitemap update together.

8. Sale pending

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
On the dashboard or the editor, tap Sale pending. Tap again to clear it when the sale closes or falls through.

What the buyer sees
A badge shows on the card and the unit page on both sites.

9. Page copy

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Edit the text on your home, inventory, financing, trade-in and contact pages without touching code.

What the buyer sees
Changes show on the public page as soon as you save.

10. Site media

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Replace your logo, pin the unit that leads the home page slider, and swap the photos in the trust section.

What the buyer sees
This is how the home page stays current with what is on the lot.

11. Analytics

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Connect Google once. From then on the admin shows visitors, the searches that brought them and the pages they viewed.

What the buyer sees
Staff see this, not buyers.

12. Leads

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Every inquiry with the buyer's name, phone, email, the unit and the message. Archive when handled, mark spam when it is.

What the buyer sees
Buyers see a thank-you and hear from your staff.

13. Credit applications

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Open an application signed in, review it, and download the PDF for the lender. Mark it reviewed or archive it.

What the buyer sees
Buyers fill in the application from the unit page and sign on screen.

14. On a phone

Screen recording coming. The steps below are the same ones the recording will show.

What your staff do
Everything above works from a phone. Staff login is in the menu, and photos upload from the camera roll.

What the buyer sees
Most units on DealerSites were published from a phone on the lot.
